THE CLIENT
Jeremy is a certified grief counselor, end-of-life doula, and former chaplain who provides virtual grief support for those enduring the heartache of loss. His calming presence make him the ideal companion for walking beside clients on their grief journeys.
THE CHALLENGE
When Jeremy first came to me, his website was a confusing tangle of excessive copy. Worse, there was no flow to the content, nor a clear path for how a grieving and disoriented individual might reach out to work with Jeremy.
The challenge was to sift through the copy to get to the heart of Jeremy’s message, voice, and work. To do this, entire pages had to be rewritten, while still maintaining Jeremy’s soft and supportive tone throughout.
THE MESSAGING STRATEGY
From my first meeting with Jeremy, it was clear he was the embodiment of someone who has not only done their own grief “work,” but was able to hold space for clients as they navigated theirs.
I wanted to highlight this authenticity and maintain the notes of warmth that are evident through a single conversation with him. The goal became to highlight his clinical expertise and qualifications without taking on an overly “medicalized, clinical, or sterile” tone.
In the end, his website copy became a living, breathing entity that speaks with the same quiet, yet authoritative compassion that Jeremy is known for by his client base.
